ABOUT THE BOOK

The result of over a decade of research, Tokin’ Women: A 4000-Year Herstory presents an enlightening compilation of over 50 famous females throughout “herstory” associated with cannabis—from ancient goddesses to bohemian authors, jazz musicians and icons of the 60s to the film goddesses of today. Readers will recognize many of the names, like Maya Angelou and Jennifer Aniston, but “some of the more obscure women come with the most compelling stories, including adventurous explorers (Gertrude Bell, Iris Tree); pioneers in art, science and literature (Alice B. Toklas, Louisa May Alcott); and other powerful women who lived their lives according to their own rules.” – Freedom Leaf, December 2015
